A new agreement between the government and the Alberta Medical Association (AMA) that will see the government invest an estimated $750 million to stabilize the health-care system has been ratified by physicians throughout the province.

Albertans will have greater access to diagnostic imaging (DI) services due to a change allowing more health providers to refer for insured DI services.

Financial assistance is available so more health-care aides (HCAs) can help Albertans in continuing care.
