Note to Editors: In response to questions from some media outlets about how much the Alberta government is spending on COVID-19 advertising, the following information is available:

Half a million doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered in Alberta. Continue to follow all public health guidelines in place to protect each other and the health-care system.

Alberta’s government will be testing a new Digital Overdose Response System (DORS). The mobile app will help protect people using opioids and other substances while alone in their homes.

Alberta’s government is offering millions of free rapid testing kits to public, private and not-for-profit employers and service providers provincewide.

Alberta will not be moving to Step 3 at this time. Continue to follow all public health guidelines in place to protect each other and the health-care system.
